Orchestra Toronto was a huge success. Many thanks to Conductor Kevin Mallon and Orchestra Toronto for making this happen. I was very lucky to have as our Brazilian Percussionist Maninho Costa and his crew from Batucada Carioca , improvise over the Sambas in the piece.

Here is a photo of Maninho and the members just after the concert and a few clips of the

Here you can get an idea of the slide show of the fantastic children's drawings which told the

story line about Ayrton Senna as he gathers the animals to break the Dam!!

A movie of the slide show will be coming shortly.

Hey special thanks to Tom Lambert and his great radio show "The Independent Music Show" for playing my music.

Am gearing up to go to Toronto for the debut of my Orchestral piece "Songs of the Rainforest" at Orchestra Toronto on the 8th of December. I am very fortunate that I received sponsorship from Zühlke Engineering: Empowering Innovation   in Switzerland.

We are extremely grateful to Boris Langer for helping  support the wonderful drawings that were created specifically for the performance. These drawings will be suspended from a large screen presentation during the performance. I am also extremely grateful to Art Teacher, Betsy Krebs from Queensbury Highschool, New York, who organised 37 art students in her program to draw the 37 paintings that will depict the story line about Ayrton Senna and the animals from the amazon who eventually save the rainforest from the Dam.

We are hoping to have a video performance of this piece for children in hospitals around the world.

I am also headed down to New Orleans to do a gig with Johnny V, Tim Green and Chris Severin at the fantastic Cafe Istanbul in New Orleans on the 11th. Hope to see you all down there!!

Special thanks to David Chamberlain and the crew at DapperFM for playing my music last night.

The songwriting course was fantastic. The writers wrote their songs in two days. We have recorded their songs and will be posting some examples in the next few days. Looking forward to the next course in Paris.

Am gearing up for the Orchestra Toronto. Am very excited to be a part of the schedule taking place the 8th of December.

They will be featuring my orchestral piece "Songs of the Rainforest", for children, about the amazon.

I just wanted to say thank you to Paul the Music Lover  who featured my entire CD 'Camden Town" twice yesterday ,September 1st on his radio show, as featured album of the month. Thanks again for all your support Paul and to my fans out there.

I am back in the studio composing a new CD of piano pieces. Am getting there. Will let you know when its finished.

I have been really excited to be collaborating with singer-songwriter Carrie Haber. We look forward to writing more songs together.

Unfortunately, we cannot play the first one yet. However, you can take a peek of her on this Reload Session video that was shot at Alice's Loft Music. This is all done 'live', no recording tracks or over dubs. What a great talent in the raw!!!

My orchestral piece " Songs of the Rainforest" commissioned for the Orchestra Toronto is coming up very soon on the 8th of December,2013.

This piece is a symphonic poem. It tells the story about a race car driver from Brazil, who goes down from heaven to help the animals save the rainforest from the dam. It is a full scale orchestral piece featuring a live Brazilian headed by Maninho Costa.

Would you like to really learn how to write a better song? A good bridge, a good link, a good key change?

Hope you can join me for our Intensive Songwriting and Vocal workshop the weekends of the 14th and 21st in September that I will be teaching with SLS (Speach Level Singing) and IVA (Institute for Vocal Advancement) Rachel Black at Alice's Loft Studio. All the students will walk away with a recording of your new song! Recorded at Alice's Loft Studio where we have a Steinway A Grand. We will be providing a great rhythm section for the recording as well. Please book now as we have only a few spaces left! . It will be a blast!

"On the Slow Train: Twelve Great British Railway Journeys London
At last, it seems as though Spring is just around the corner!
It's been a crazy few weeks - preparing my orchestral piece for the Toronto Symphony Orchestra's 70th anniversary, moving home (far more intense than I had imagined!) - and preparing the sets for the debut performance of my album, "Camden Town" at the Roundhouse on Sunday 17 March 2013.  Thank goodness for music !!

As I go into rehearsals with my eleven piece band at my recording studio on Carol Street I am reminded of the reason why I so enjoy living and working in Camden, and how the town has influenced and inspired my music.  I can't wait for you to hear it.

I was thrilled to receive a note from Johnny Vidocovich, a fellow musician and contemporary jazz drummer who I worked with in the Deep South, and who is widely renowned as a prominent and sought after New Orleans musician, in which he says:

"Compositions, orchestration, writing and signing just knock me out -
       with a Joe Lewis punch."

Please book your tickets now!!
Can't wait to see you!
